After the Rain for Piano (PDF) (8 pages)

After the Rain is equal parts calm, fluid, and rich all at the same time. The inspiration for the title came from the main melody of the piece– which starts on measure 9. Upon hearing this theme, I imagined a woman in a bright raincoat pedaling down a damp sidewalk on her bicycle; as if it had just rained—with grey clouds parting in the background to reveal the sun.
